The Expos Photos Aves organizing team decided not to organize the 2020 festival! Nevertheless, the famous Emotion’Ailes contest is maintained!

This difficult decision has been carefully considered in recent weeks. We weighed the pros and cons, questioned the municipal authorities, noted the prohibition or cancellation of similar events in August and September and finally reflected on the impact that any health measures would have on this great weekend. end of celebration… The uncertainty and threats persist and the observation that we have to make is without appeal: the very particular atmosphere which emanates from Expos Photos Aves, which makes us all vibrate, our DNA will be altered by it… and it n is not imaginable for us to organize a halftone event. The legendary conviviality of our event cannot be expressed in these conditions.

We also think of the organizers of other major summer events in the province of Namur and the country who have been forced to cancel their activities by government order or by health logic in recent months. It was difficult and even provocative for us to act "as if nothing had happened" or to risk a last minute ban.

It is also and above all the visitors, volunteers, photographers and associations that we have to think of. The uncertainty about the risks of a second epidemic wave is there. The rules for opening borders are still unclear and can change at any time ... with the risk of seeing most of our exhibitors stranded at the gates of the country. It was therefore not reasonable to maintain this edition.

The Emotion’Ailes 2020 contest is maintained!

Good news for our photographers! The organization of a competition is less impacted by sanitary measures and we have decided to maintain the 18th edition of the Emotion’Ailes 2020 photo competition! The presentation of the winning photos and the award ceremony will be organized according to the constraints in force in August-September, but we will give the best resonance to this renowned competition. We will not fail to communicate on this subject.

Know that you have until midnight July 26 to send your photos!

At a time of record participation in the various European competitions, we hope to be able to announce a participation rate never reached before! So to your boxes, to your hard disks and go to our site to send your images. - Rules and participation

We remain determined and are already working on an extraordinary 2021 edition!

This global crisis will be behind us and we will once again open the doors of our exceptional exhibition sites, from the big marquee "equipment and associations", to Belgian and international artists who will make us the pleasure of their visit and we will be amazed by their images and conferences, suppers organized with photographers and volunteers, local fruit juices and special beers that we will share in a friendly atmosphere.

Be sure, these coming months will be devoted to the organization of the 2021 edition, to make this next festival one of all memories!
