The exhibition “La Minute Sauvage” highlights the various exceptional animal species that constitute the natural wealth of our capital. This is a heritage that must be preserved in the current environmental context. For this reason, Thomas Jean has been documenting wildlife in the urban environment for over four years with his project of the same name, La Minute Sauvage. Brussels is one of the greenest capitals in Europe and teems with wildlife. However, the development of the city is causing the disappearance of natural habitats and with them, potential nesting, breeding, feeding and quiet areas. Some species, such as the little owl, are seeing their population shrink to a trickle. It is therefore important to know them better in order to better protect them.
